Repair: Hofner Bass Pickup 50's

This is an assembly from a 50's Hofner Bass from Singapore that I got in for repair. Both pickups were dead: one of the bobbins had not failed yet, so I could model the others off it. The problem with them was the lead wire from the coils was 38awg magnet wire and it had deteriorated and shorted out. My assumption from looking at the covers is heat and humidity were culprits. Anyway here is a chance to see its guts... fun stuff!

Here you can see the brittle enamel coated lead wires. The coating was just flaking off the wire.
