This has been a long time coming, I finally had the time to bring this to reality. This is a full PAF style Humbucker pickup designed to fit ENTIRELY in a Dog Ear cover. Meaning this pickup will surface mount on your Melody Maker, or really another guitar that can handle the clearance of a Dog Ear cover. In this example I have made a new pickguard with the cut out for the Dog Ear. If you wish you can raise the action a bit and it could sit on the Pidkguard. I can either cut you a pickguard for $40, or I will give you a small router template to mod your pickguard.
